Breckland Hire (Breckland Plant Hire Limited)
Independent plant and tool hire company in Wymondham, Norfolk, renting diggers, dumpers, access and groundwork equipment across Norfolk and Suffolk.

What they needed.
Mikey ran Breckland Hire off a Facebook page. No website, no catalogue, no way to take a booking that did not start as a message — while national hire chains with online booking took the search traffic for every digger and wacker plate in the county. Breckland Hire (trading name of Breckland Plant Hire Limited, Companies House no. 15912451) is an independently owned plant and tool hire firm working from a Wood Farm depot near Wymondham, serving trade and domestic customers within about 20 miles — Norwich, Attleborough, Thetford and the South Norfolk / North Suffolk villages — on daily, weekly and long-term hire. The catalogue spans access equipment, cutting and grinding, groundwork and concrete, landscaping and garden machinery, plant (diggers, dumpers, excavators), site power, transport, props and climate control, backed by same-day delivery and CPA membership. The job was to make a Facebook-only business into one that could be found, browsed and booked.
Our approach.
Two phases. The first got the business online at all: an Elementor and WooCommerce build with a browsable hire catalogue, category and equipment pages, delivery information, trade accounts and online booking — a rental storefront rather than a brochure. The second replaced the front end with custom pages: the site is now custom HTML served from Bunny’s edge with full-page HTML caching and AJAX-driven interaction, so a WooCommerce hire storefront answers in roughly 0.3s to first byte where a stock install on the same stack takes about six times longer. The homepage is 731KB across 27 requests — twelve JavaScript files and four stylesheets, with WooCommerce the only plugin on the site. Underneath sits bespoke WooCommerce development including AML and identity checking through ComplyCube, GDPR-compliant, so hire agreements are verified as part of the booking. It is a long-term relationship rather than a delivered project — we run PPC and SEO on it, and it is still growing.
