Jermyn & Co had a poor old website that did nothing for a firm of chartered accountants. The harder problem was the market: “accountants norwich” is fought over by every firm in the city, the search volume is thin, and winning it would still only reach people already looking for an accountant nearby. A local brochure site would have competed for scraps. The opportunity was the opposite — tax questions are searched nationally, in volume, by people who do not yet have an accountant and do not care where one is based.

A modern WordPress build on a Bootstrap drag-and-drop Gutenberg system we designed, so the firm can publish and develop the site themselves rather than queue behind an agency — and they do, with us consulting rather than gatekeeping. The strategy goes national rather than local: authoritative writing on the tax questions people actually search — UK tax when working abroad, whether an overseas entity can own UK property, Companies House ID verification, crypto tax rules, what happens when HMRC opens an investigation. It reaches far past Norwich. Those pages rank between fourth and tenth nationally, and impressions have gone from 1,651 in the month after launch to 51,759 in June 2026.
